Use of the App
RoadPing is intended to assist drivers by providing community-sourced information about road hazards. By using this application, you agree to:
- Use the app only for its intended road-safety purpose
- Comply with all applicable traffic laws and safety regulations in your jurisdiction
- Never interact with the app in a way that distracts you from the act of driving
- Configure alerts and settings before beginning a journey, not while in motion
Use of RoadPing is permitted only by individuals who hold a valid driving licence and are legally permitted to operate a motor vehicle in their jurisdiction.
User Content
You are solely responsible for the hazard reports and photographs you submit through RoadPing. By submitting content, you confirm that:
- The report accurately reflects a genuine road hazard at the stated location
- You own or have the right to share any photos you upload
- The content does not include personally identifiable information of other individuals without their consent
By submitting content, you grant RoadPing a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, display, and distribute that content to other users of the app for road-safety purposes.
We reserve the right to remove any content that is inaccurate, misleading, or submitted in bad faith without prior notice.
Accuracy of Data
RoadPing is a crowd-sourced platform. Hazard data is submitted by community members and is not independently verified by RoadPing in real time.
📍 While we strive for accuracy, we do not guarantee the completeness, timeliness, or reliability of any hazard report. Always use your own judgment while driving and treat RoadPing alerts as supplementary information only.
Road conditions change rapidly. A hazard reported an hour ago may have been repaired, or a new hazard may have appeared that hasn't been reported yet. Use the information provided by RoadPing as an aid, not as a substitute for attentive driving.
Limitation of Liability
RoadPing and its developers are not liable for any accidents, vehicle damage, personal injuries, or any other damages resulting from:
- Use of or reliance on the RoadPing application
- Inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated hazard reports
- Technical failures, service interruptions, or GPS inaccuracies
- Any action or inaction taken based on app alerts or notifications
RoadPing is provided "as is" without any warranty of any kind, express or implied. Your use of the app is entirely at your own risk.
Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time to reflect changes in the app, legal requirements, or our operating practices. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page.
Your continued use of RoadPing after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
